Ramos and Pandora take the table

Last night I tried my first real games of Malifaux.

First game I went up against Hjelmen's Sonya Criid-box, using my Pandora box.

Game was brutal, he more or less just shot my Sorrows I had linked to Candy, Kade and Pandora. In a last-ditch suicide attempt, Candy made the good Sonya hit herself with Self-Loathing. I flipped the Red Joker for the damage flip, adding a second card to the damage, which came up another Severe. Sonya died from the 10 damage. We hadn't really gotten around to how to prevent damage with Soulstones yet, nor did my opponent think about stopping the spell with his Advanced Counterspell. Oh well ;)

Second game was a buddy who borrowed the Sonya-box from Hjelmen, and I decided to try out Ramos.

Overall, the game was pretty onesided - he shot and killed my Arachnid Swarm early, and I tried to get an electrical creation into his midst. I failed the explosion-spellcast with it, however, and it died by the 'take a wound when activated'-thingy.

Star of the match for me was the Steamborg, he charged Samael Hopkins, killed him with Decapitate, and then triggered a knock-back on a Witchling, charging Sonya. He missed on the attack, however.

Next turn, he was cut down, and then the Witchhunters quickly caught up with Ramos, killing him.

Overall, I like the more summon-thing Ramos has going, but the game mechanics of Pandora intrigues me the most. Dealing damage through the WP duels is quite fun, I just need to get a hang of it. And of course, get Teddy...
