Even though my Warmachine and Hordes activity is at an all-time low, I still follow along in the news.
Other than the sad loss of a great person in the community, Invader Larb, Privateer Press is moving forward with the planned new releases.
Among these are this new little piggy, which showed up in the news not too long ago:
It seems that the pigs will be a new Minion subfaction, much like the Mercenaries' different charters. Looking good, this model is more or less a required purchase, since the model is so massively cool. Take a look at the 360 view as well.
Also, the tier list for Captain Phinneus Shae has been spoiled from the new Mercenary book:
No character warjacks Sea Dog Units Lady Aiyana & Master Holt Pirate solos (Although not Bloody Bradigan and Dougal MacNaile)Tier 1: all solos -1pt Tier 2: Mr Walls = models/units have easier time getting through forests and rough terrain first turn. Tier 3: commodore cannon = better chance of winning starting roll. Tier 4: min 3 jacks battlegroup = battle group moves faster first turn.
So, if these turn out to be true (they are apparently in the next No Quarter), the following 35 list is a possibility:
Shae +6 Mariner 8 Buccaneer 3 Freebooter 6 10 Pressgangers 6 10 Sea Dogs 8 Mr. Walls 2 The Commodore Cannon 4 Lady Hawk 1 Doc Killingsworth 1 Lord Rockbottom 1 Bosun Grogspar 1
Seems like a good, solid list to me! The pirates are still deceptively tough and killy, and since we can now get a few more tools in the box with the additional properties of the warjacks and solos which we couldn't fit in before, we're left at a good footing, I reckon.
This will surely be one of my new lists if the rumoured tier list is verified!
Hesse > Some thoughts on Necron Comp for S3
Great news! I finally got around to play the new Necrons a bit, and what can I say - I'm very satisfied! It's great to have my hands on an army that can shoot pretty decently, have a nice durability and really appeals to me.
Hesse > First Necron list + battle report
I have, through some rather shady canals, gotten hold of the new Necron Codex - no more rumour mongering for me, just the bare truth from the author himself!
Michael Boserup Hesselberg > Necrons confirmed with a teaser
GW put out one of their daily updates, concerning Dark Eldars, Polish Tomb Kings and...something else. It looks like the Necrons actually got a teaser trailer.
