A cry from the warp...

Yeesh!

What happened? Well, first of all, I started to post updates on my Nifcon 15 project to the relevant forum instead of here. And, I also started to actually play the game (40K) instead of just pondering stuff. That leads to more pondering, and before I knew of it, as soon as I got off from work, all my thought focused on 40K - and not on writing updates to this blog.

It's not that I haven't done stuff in the meantime. I've been playtesting a lot of Daemon lists, mostly mix-lists as of late - I realized that the our beloved Khorne-fellows can't really match a mobile enemy, which seems to be what most armies are today.

So, I started to mix in Tzeentch models for added ranged threats. And soon, I expanded and bought some fast choices, some Flesh Hounds (which was already planned for the Nifcon army) and some Seekers of Slaanesh.

I've tried the Seekers in three battles now. Only once did they actually reach combat - and only once was I able to use the icon I bought for them, due to me rolling my non-preferred list in five out my last six battles.

That also got me thinking - if I keep rolling like that, I can't win two out of three games as I originally decided to suffice with. I have to spread the capabilities of my list, after all. Lame, but apparently the truth.

I also started to field Kairos Fateweaver, the Oracle of Tzeentch...he's great fun, and a constant annoyance to my opponents. I really like him, especially with the Bloodthirster and the Bloodcrushers nearby. That's my new core of the army, by the way.

I tried to field Plaguebearers, but I keep getting disappointed by them. So, they're out again, and I've included two units of 9 Horrors now instead, as well as upped my Letter squad to 12.

I really like the look of this one. I'm gonna play it thursday against a Grey Knight force...I have a hard time against the Dreadknight, so he's priority one getting down.
