I decided to start a new campaign to celebrate and play some of the new 40K 6th edition goodness.
Basic principle is to take the Blood in the Badlands campaign module from Warhammer Fantasy and adapt it to 40K, not only in terms but also rules-wise.
So, a relic becomes an artifact, the Flying Fortress becomes the more stationary Hive City and people don't have camps or cities, they have large bastions or strongholds.
All in all, the conversion is actually quite simple.
We also made a very small Army Selection for it, pretty much just limiting spamming, transports, AV14, allies and flyers.
The new ally rules will only be used on nights were there's an uneven amount of players, if they are allowed to team up.
Here's the map we put together, primarily from the Planetary Empires expansion but also a few pieces borrowed from the Mighty Empires expansion we used for the real Blood in the Badlands:

Tonight is the first of 12 Thursday evenings to do this, I'm pretty excited :D
Hesse > Dark Angels
In great anticipation for the now-often rumoured new Dark Angels Codex, I decided to pick up a couple of Dark Angels sets from the Dark Vengeance starter kit.
I already had some old Imperial and Crimson Fists lying around, pretty much just leftover scraps from when I sold the army, so I already have a sizable force for a pretty low investment.
