Necrons confirmed with a teaser

Lots of stuff has come up these last few days regarding the Necrons.

First up, all the stores was allowed to write costs and announce them yesterday. This has lead to the following list of releases, to be sold from the 5th of November:

Codex: Necrons
Catacomb Command Barge / Annihilator Barge (plastic)
Destroyer (plastic)
Ghost Ark / Doomsday Ark (plastic)
Immortals / Deathmarks (plastic)
Lychguard / Triarch Praetorians (plastic)
Monolith (plastic)
Warriors (plastic)
Cryptek (finecast)
Shard of the Deceiver (finecast)
Shard of the Nightbringer (finecast)
Flayed One pack (finecast)
Imotekh the Stormlord (finecast)
Lord /w Resurrection Orb (finecast)
Overlord (finecast)
Trazyn the Infinite (finecast)

Most of this is as expected, but interestingly they're repackaging the Monolith, Destroyer and Warriors. This could mean that the Destroyer has the option to be upgradede to a Heavy Destroyer inherently in the package itself, and perhaps it gets rid of the green rods altogether. This could also indicate that your old warriors, destroyers and monoliths are still very much usable, which could impact the sales of the Necrons quite a bit. However, I'm guessing that the new Immortals will be a superior choice, which means that people will have to invest in those anyway.

Also, the Destroyer Lord isn't anywhere to be found.

We're also still missing the scorpion-esque rumoured MC, the flyer and the new Tomb Spyder, all pretty much confirmed in rumours to come at some point.

Also, finecasting the C'Tans is a great move. My old Nightbringer has lost his arms over the course of the last nine years, so I might pick up the new one just to save the time it would take to build new arms for him.

Later yesterday, after the stores all came up with these lists, GW put out one of their daily updates, concerning Dark Eldars, Polish Tomb Kings and...something else. It looks like the Necrons actually got a teaser trailer:

So, expect Games Workshop to announce the new Necrons by Saturday this week!

Hesse > Dark Angels

In great anticipation for the now-often rumoured new Dark Angels Codex, I decided to pick up a couple of Dark Angels sets from the Dark Vengeance starter kit.

I already had some old Imperial and Crimson Fists lying around, pretty much just leftover scraps from when I sold the army, so I already have a sizable force for a pretty low investment.

Hesse > Campaign in my local gaming club

I decided to start a new campaign to celebrate and play some of the new 40K 6th edition goodness.
